Jones the Grocer

As Principal Contractor, we delivered Jones the Grocer’s latest UK location at Waterloo Station, marking the Australian-founded artisan food and hospitality brand’s third UK site and its first venture into the UK rail environment, in partnership with TRG Concessions. Located on The Balcony, the project brings the brand’s distinctive blend of contemporary dining, artisan bakery, café and gourmet retail into one of London’s busiest transport hubs. Working alongside designers Keane and a collaborative team of contractors and project partners, we helped bring the design vision to life, creating a space that balances the demands of a high-footfall station with the quality and character of a premium hospitality destination.

The completed space celebrates Waterloo’s industrial heritage, retaining the existing exposed steelwork as a defining architectural feature while introducing natural timber, greenery, warm lighting, upholstered seating and signature red banquettes to create an inviting atmosphere. Designed to accommodate both customers on the move and those looking to pause and enjoy the experience, the venue combines an all-day dining offer with a contemporary artisan kitchen, bar, bakery and grab-and-go counter. The result is a distinctive new destination that brings together the raw character of the railway environment with the warmth and personality of Jones the Grocer.
